A suspected cocaine dealer, Kingsley Agu, who was recently arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos has told operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency that he took to crime because he needed money to fund his father’s burial.

30-year-old Agu was arrested with two others – Joseph Ezenna and Israel Okoye – for smuggling cocaine valued at N131m from Brazil.

Agu, who seemed remorseful for his act, said told Punch

“I was born in Enugu. I sell clothes at Aba market. I travelled to Brazil in April 2014 because my business was not doing well. The few months I spent in Brazil were even worse than here in Nigeria. While in Brazil, my father died and I had no money for my flight ticket. Bringing cocaine to Nigeria was my last hope of raising some money for my dad’s funeral. I was to be paid N800, 000 for the assignment.”

According to the Nation ,the 300-Level English Language and Literature student of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka has not been seen anywhere, 43 days after she went to the night club with her friends. She is the only girl in a family of three.

Annabel, 24, a native of Enugu State, was last seen on Wednesday, September 17 evening, when she left her Paradise City Hostel in Iyiagu Estate, Awka.When she was leaving the club, Annabel reportedly left at midnight with a guy she met at the club. That was the last time she was seen.

A 32-year-old man, Mr. Simon Mbam, of Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has committed suicide after he was tortured by some villagers for allegedly stealing N1,000 from a shop in the market.

The victim, who jumped into a pond in the area last weekend, found himself in the mess when he left his house in the evening of the fateful day to buy drinks with his friends.

While late Simon and his friends were busy sipping their drinks, the owner of the shop raised an alarm over a missing N1,000 in his carton of drinks, but no customer admitted to haven taken the money.

The alarm raised by the shop owner attracted villagers who stormed the scene and gave the suspects till the following day to return the money or face the consequences.

Last week,Kaci Hickox, a nurse who spent 5 weeks caring for Ebola patients in Sierra Leone was quarantined in a tent against her will in New Jersey. She then got a lawyer and slammed the quarantine system ,calling it imprisonment and a violation of right to freedom of movement.

She was released after testing negative but was and told to observe a 21 day quarantine at her home in Maine ..However, she insists she won't do that ,and vowed to fight the quarantine policy in court if necessary.

She told Matt Lauer this morning on "The Today Show"

“You know, I don’t plan on sticking to the guidelines. I remain appalled by these home quarantine policies that have been forced upon me, even though I am in perfectly good health and feeling strong and have been this entire time completely symptom free. Disturbing new images have emerged showing young Syrian children being trained at a military camp run by ISIS.

The photos were shared online by a secret anti-ISIS group " Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently" . The school near the jihadis' capital Raqqa, show children barely older than five being taught basic combat and survival skills, learning how to use assault rifles, and being given lessons in extremist ideology.
